TEA

Stillness and human empowerment through the medicine of tea.

Cha Dao, “the way of tea” is a ritual that descends from ancient Chinese teachings. It was originally used by monks as a tool to heighten awareness and tolerate long sessions of meditation. This plant medicine, used in ceremony, is a subtle yet bold teacher that connects us to ourselves, nature and raises our awareness to both the fragility and beauty of life. Given the leaf the space to touch us, we develop a deep inner connection that lends to a life of awareness, connectedness all the beauty that unfolds before us.

Tea is one of natures great teachers.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE

Tea Ceremony

The Tea Ceremony is done in silence. It begins with a 5 to 10 minute meditation. We flow into the ceremony of tea where 3-5 bowls  of tea will be shared in community and with an open heart for 40 minutes.

As you sit in silence and meditation with this plant, you turn inward and uncover the thoughts of your mind and heart.

Awareness and presence in cultivated.  Greater purpose is reflected.

If sound is part of the ceremony, we will then begin the alchemy of vibrational sound using crystals, Himalayan bowls, and in the gong. We will end the ceremony with time for reflection and sharing.
